Sounds like you both have good taste in books! In this case, you can request a reservation on that book by putting in your request with the library staff. (This is also known as placing a book on hold or reserve.) The library staff will notify you when that book has been returned and is ready for you.
Can’t wait that long? You can request that the library staff set up a branch transfer or interlibrary loan request for you. This normally takes a week for the item to arrive.
